2023 Southern Living Shrimp & Grits Festival Cruise

This is sure to be another great FYC adventure…there will be plenty of daytime activity for everyone at the Southern Living Shrimp and Grits Festival. We will be on the face dock at Jekyll Harbor Marina, the marina prior to passing under the bridge. This is a side tie same as Fernandina Harbor Marina.  It is approximately 65 nm to Jekyll Harbor. The important thing you need to know is, FYC is not holding a block of slips. If you haven’t made a slip reservation, you will need to call Jekyll Harbor Marina or go to Dockwa and make your own reservation for that weekend.

Please note, this year the actual festival is Friday, Nov. 3rd and Saturday, Nov. 4th. This is a change from years past where it was Saturday and Sunday. I know several boats are headed up on Thursday.

This is a great cruise to bring your bicycle, the marina has some but they could be hard to come by as the marina could be full.  Also, the north end of Cumberland Island is not far if you have a small boat and want some beach time. The marina has a pool which will be perfect for an afternoon swim if it’s warm enough.

If anyone needs a hotel room, there are plenty of hotels. We are not holding any rooms anywhere, there are too many choices. If you need a room you need to make your reservation directly.
