Sailing has been a tradition at Florida Yacht Club since its inception. Located on the banks of the St. Johns River, FYC plays host to nationally renowned regattas including the 2022 Thistle National Championships and the Annual Orange Peel Regatta. Whether you are new to sailing or want to improve your navigation and racing techniques, our U.S. Sailing Certified instructors can design the perfect program to meet your goals.

Oue expert staff also offers comprehensive powerboating courses tailored specifically to your boating lifestyle and needs out on the water.

FYC FIRST SAIL


First Sail is a relaxed introduction to the FYC Adult Sailing Program and consists of a two hour cruise on the St. Johns River followed by a complimentary draft beer or wine at the Pirate's Den Bar. After your First Sail you will be eligible to continue your FYC sailing experience in classes (2 or more clients) or one-on-one private lessons. First Sail is available exclusively to FYC members.

SAIL WITH JIMBO


Join Jimbo on the water for a low-stress, fun sailing opportunity. We can accommodate up to  4 Adults and/or Children per Session. $15.00 Per Person

Jimbo Cannon has joined the Florida Yacht Club Sailing Program in an effort to build adult sailing in Northeast Florida and get the FYC membership enjoying all the St. Johns River has to offer. He is looking forward to working with everyone - beginner sailors to advanced racers and is passionate about sharing the sport of sailing which has been a major part of his life. Jimbo will also be assisting with the junior and high school teams. We are excited to have Jimbo at FYC to share his passion with our membership.
