The Florida Yacht Club is stretched along the longest river in the state of Florida and has been a northeast Florida landmark since its distinguished opening in 1876. At 310 miles long, it winds through or borders twelve counties, three of which are the state's largest. The Club was first organized for the purpose of promoting yachting and social enjoyment and has faithfully served four generations of members with sophisticated charm and delightful hospitality. The Club is now the oldest social club in Jacksonville and one of the oldest yacht clubs in the United States. The Florida Yacht Club successfully combines the amenities including Elegant Dining and Banquet Rooms, Docks, Tennis Courts, a Resort Style Swimming Pool, a well-equipped Fitness Center, Massage and Facial studio.
