The December 17th “Equinox” Youth Regatta
This regatta was a huge success thanks to the many volunteers who contributed their time and resources to the event. Youth sailors came from Lake Eustis, Daytona, St. Augustine, Epping Forest, The Rudder Club, Charleston and several other clubs to sail in this regatta. After the event, FYC Youth Sailing parents put on a free Bar-B-Q and presented awards to all of the winners in the 420, Laser Radial, Optimist and Optimist Green Fleets. It was a beautiful December day in the 70’s and with light winds out of the North. Congratulations to Lulee Yates, Ryan Clarke, Johnny Fewell and Mathew Smith for winning respectively in those fleets. FYC sailors Ben Townsend, Reedy Monahan and Ben Egan also placed in their divisions. Please see the youth sailing portion of our website for complete results!
Youth sailing took a small break in January but now they are back on the water again. Both the Lake Eustis Presidents Day Regatta and the Valentine’s Day Regatta in St. Petersburg are on the schedule this month.

Frostbite Cruise Turns 40!
Not over the hill, just up the creek...
Black Creek that is! A man once said that it is like black gold and the Indians thought it was magical … well it is both. If you have been on this cruise, you know and if not, then you need to come. When asking around the Club for thoughts on this cruise many words were used…yes, you are right: “February”, “Fun” and “Fantastic” were near the top of the list but tied for first is “Friendship” and “Fellowship”. There are no “disappointments”, so no excuses. No boat is needed so bring a tent, camper, RV or ask a friend and stay on their boat. Make your reservations early at the front desk (they have maps and more details there) and feel free to email me at scottajilla@ hotmail.com with any questions you might have.
See you there on February 24th, 25th and 26th!

made. Call the Front Office for details (904) 387-1653.
House Rules for Boat Storage
- All Club members utilizing Club ramps, storage, docks, or hoists must

and the cost of such removal charged to the appropriate member's
account.

If in the judgment of the House Committee boat owners are abusing their privileges of using the Club's boating facilities, they may be charged accordingly and such use may be terminated. Please abide by these rules.
Attention Boaters!!!
The U.S. Marine and Wildlife Division (Federal Government) has
placed manatee markers along the shoreline of the St. Johns River.
These markers have been placed 300 feet from land, and require "Slow"
or "No Wake" speed within the designated area. Please be aware of
these markers and use good judgment when approaching. These
markers officially end at the Ortega River Bridge. If you have any
questions, please feel free to contact me at 387-9683 ext. 414.
