You see many famous celebrities who have raved about the benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga is a body and mind connection, very similar to the sports we play. Tennis and golf for instance, requires the mind and the body working together efficiently for good performance. Not only does yoga provide the psychological benefits such as “mental toughness” and the ability to focus. Yoga also provides physical benefits such as improved flexibility, balance and strength. Yoga itself is considered to be therapeutic for many reasons. Yoga improves your body’s posture, alignment and pattern of movement which is crucial to your game of tennis.
