ST. AUGUSTINE CRUISE & OFFSHORE FISHING TOURNAMENT
Friday, May 2nd - Sunday, May 4th
Our St. Augustine Cruise will be held the First weekend in May. The
location will again be the St. Augustine Municipal Marina. The dates are
May 2nd thru the 4th. The Offshore Fishing Tournament will be Friday
and Saturday with a "Cook Your Catch" dinner on Saturday night.
RIVER RATS SWIM TEAM SIGN-UPS
Sunday, May 4th, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
The Florida Yacht Club and Timuquana Country Club invite your children
to join our popular swim team. Any child or grandchild of a Club member
is eligible. Four and five year olds who can swim the width of the pool
(swim is loosely defined) can join the junior program, and six year olds
and older will be River Rat swimmers. Practice schedules, competition
calendars, swimsuit options, and more helpful team information will be
available. Also, don't forget your child's birth certificate. They must have
it to register!
MAY IN MANHATTAN WINE DINNER
Friday, May 9th, 6:30 pm
We know that the May Wine Dinner takes us to the streets of Manhattan.
This month we will feature wine and cuisine from the hottest restaurants
in Manhattan. Matching food with wine is one of Chef Stephen's
specialties and he always has a good time when he visits this city. Make
your reservations with the front office and you'll be assured excellent
cuisine and a fabulous time. There is a 72 hour cancellation policy for
Wine Dinners.
MOTHER'S DAY BRUNCH
Sunday, May 11th, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Bring the entire family and show your Mom just how much she is
appreciated! Seating is filled upstairs and downstairs for this popular
event, with the buffet presented in the Ballroom. Make your plans and
reservations soon by calling (904) 387-1653, as seating fills up fast!
JUNIOR TENNIS BANQUET
Thursday, May 15th, 6:00 pm
All junior players are invited to our Annual Junior Tennis Banquet. The
event will kickoff with our popular chip auction. We recognize our USTA
team players, our graduating senior players, our Players of the Year
and our Most Improved players. The chip table will have various prizes
available for our younger players to cash in their "chips". Dinner will
include hamburgers, hot dogs and fried chicken, and we will raffle off a
new tennis racket. Register in the pro shop today!
BLUEWATER TOURNEY MAKE-UP
Friday-Saturday, May 16-17th, 4:00-7:00 pm
The make up days are Friday and Saturday, May 16 & 17. Weigh-in will be at the FYC marina from 4-7 pm to allow for travel. Adam Cioffi will make other arrangements if necessary.
We will hold a quick Captain’s Meeting on Wednesday May 14 on the FYC patio at 6 pm. We can go over any rule questions then.
T-shirts are on sale at the FYC front office. They are $20.00 plus tax. Roughly half have been sold. If you did not pre-order we have extras. If you need a size that is not available, please leave your name, phone number, and what sizes you’ll need. We do not have children sizes available.
Please let Adam Cioffi know if you will be fishing the Make-up Tournament. I know that some people could not make the original date and some cannot make the weather date.

MEMORIAL DAY
Monday, May 26th
Swim, sunbathe, or just relax poolside or on your boats with your family
and friends. This weekend officially launches our pool and snack bar
season, and is a popular spot for many of our Members. A Barbecue
Buffet will be featured at lunch, and activities will be planned around
the pool. Don't forget, the Clubhouse will be closed the following
Tuesday, May 27th.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION OF THE ST. JOHNS RIVERKEEPER
Thursday, May 29th, 6:00 pm
Thursday, May 29th Neil Armingeon, the St. Johns Riverkeeper, will tell us
how Central Florida's never-ending thirst threatens the health of our St.
Johns River. There will be a charge bar beginning at 1800 hrs, followed
by the presentation at 1830 hrs. This topic should be of great interest to
anyone that appreciates the St. Johns River as we know it today. Please

PAJAMA & POPCORN KID'S CLUB PARTY
Friday, May 30th 6:00 - 9:00 pm
Who doesn't love to wear their pajama's all night ?? Kids come ready and
wearing your most comfortable PJ's. We'll have a chance to be creative
with our popcorn surprises, including chocolate, marshmallows, and
caramel (ooh this sound fun!) Blockbuster here we come, we promise
new released kid's friendly movies and Chef's Special Kid's Dinner. This
is a RSVP only, so please call the front office so we can plan for the
appropriate number of children. Thank you!
