Tennis enthusiasts of all ages enjoy our program, which is considered one of the best and most active in North Florida. We offer 10 lighted Har-Tru courts, as well as a fully stocked pro shop, for all of your tennis needs. Tennis instruction is offered at all skill levels, from social, recreational, tournament and advanced.

FYC's talented and outgoing staff is lead by our Director of Tennis, Louis Ballantyne, supported by 5 teaching professionals, all of which are USPTA and PTR certified. Each teaching professional is experienced in a wide variety of instructional programs, for all ages and skill levels.

State-of-the-art ball machine and backboard are also available for those who would like to fine tune their game, or warm-up before an important match.

Fleet & Sailing

FYC offers members the opportunity for power boating, sailing, kayaking, scuba diving and other aquatic activities and also hosts numerous social cruises and major sailing regattas, including the 2012 J24 North American Championship. In addition to its year-round competition schedule, FYC’s Youth Sailing Program is in full swing during the summer months, when the highly successful sailing camps become an energetic and ubiquitous presence on the Club’s waterfront. Positioned 23 miles from the Intracoastal Waterway, FYC provides fishing and cruising enthusiasts direct access to the Atlantic Ocean.

FYC boasts two marinas that contain 73 wet slips, 18 dry lifts and 58 dry storage spots, together offering boaters space for 149 crafts, in addition to small sailboat storage. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic Dock Masters are on duty from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Tuesday through Sunday to accommodate FYC Members’ and guests’ boating needs.

Pool & Pool Bar

The Yacht Club embodies fun and luxury with the pool deck and adjoining pool bar. The pool features a diving board for kids, luxurious lawn chairs for parents and a perfect atmosphere for any age in between. Just laying in a chair and enjoying the sun, our members can enjoy complementary poolside pool and beverage service. When it gets too hot, take a dip in the pool lounge under either of our two shaded awnings. While you relax and get a tan, look out at the most beautiful view of the river in Jacksonville.

The FYC Pool Bar features food from the kitchen as well as Beer & Wine selections. Anything else can be retrieved for the guests from the full bar in the Pirates Den.   

The FYC Pool opens for the season on Memorial Day Weekend and stays active through Labor Day!

Fitness & Croquet

The Florida Yacht Club’s riverfront Fitness Center, outdoor lap pool with diving board and baby pool provides Members with a beautiful view of the historic St. Johns River and the sky line of downtown Jacksonville. The Fitness Center features more than 30 stations of exercise equipment providing Members with the finest cardiovascular, strengthening and free weight machines.

The Fitness Center provides members with Personal Trainers, Group Exercise Classes, Nutrition Consultations and a variety of Fitness Programs for all ages. The outdoor pools provide members with a relaxing retreat with the beautiful view and relaxing music. Members can escape the hot Florida sun under one of our many ocean blue canopies in a lounge chair alongside the river while soaking up the sun. The Club also has Massage and Facial services available by appointment with certified professionals.
